QPR vs. BMF United: Match Recap

QPR opened its second season against its last opponent from 2013, with an unprecedented result: QPR drew a match for the first time in its short but distinguished history.

According to legendary Italian sports journalist Gianni Brera, a goalless draw is the perfect result where neither side commits errors, the defenses annihilate the respective attacks, goalkeepers are called to make good saves to keep their clean sheets.

That's the kind of game that QPR and BMF United played, sharing the spoils in the end.

The game got off to a good start for the OPS's Sky Blue, when from a corner kick Zaman headed the ball twisting his neck like Linda Blair in the Exorcist, only to see it to go wide by a few inches.

On the other end, QPR goalkeeper Kang made what Roy Hoyson would call a "magisterial" save after losing a ball in the sun. Kang collects his shut out in his QPR debut.

"The first game jitters are out of the way. We're gonna keep up the good hard work and take our chances in the attacking phase. Overall I'm satisfied with the effort, and am confident with the depth on this team", QPR's Fasano remarked in the post-game.
