On January 24 the Queen's Park Rangers added their second
piece of silverware.
After topping the regular indoor season at Downsview
Park, QPR defeated FC SDR in the Final playoff for all the marbles.
The match was hard fought, neither team willing to give
up the prestige of being crowned champions.
A 1-1 tie at the end of regulation brought the teams to a
penalty shootout. Up by one penalty, the decisive attempt fell on MCSS' "Dangerous Dan" Yanful:
"I'm very proud of this accomplishment and of our boys - we did it!", said coach Michael Allison as QPR players celebrated their win in jubilation. This is QPR's first trophy in an indoor league, the second trophy after the win in the 2014 outdoor season.
