Queen's Park Rangers vs. FC Unionville: Match Recap

Queen's Park Rangers fail to make it two in a row, but gained an important point.

Despite dominating clear scoring chances and having a goal disallowed, QPR were in a goal deficit going into the dying minutes of the match.

A bona fide siege of FC Unionville's goal ensued in the last minute with a ball cleared off the line twice in the same play. Finally, off of a corner by Aziz, Zaman put the teams on level terms with an imperial header from point blank range.

"We created many scoring chances but didn't make them count. We know what to do next time", QPR captain Fasano said at full time.

Queen's Park Rangers vs. Rye High: Match Recap

Queen's Park Rangers were determined to gain their first win of the season, and so it was.

QPR took the field against Division 3 debutants Rye High aggressively, pressing their adversaries deep into their end from the start.

At the 20th minute it was Kasey Ganesh who hammered home the opening goal for QPR, after wreaking havoc on the right flank. From there on QPR controlled game play, hindering Rye High's futile attacks that were met well by QPR's central defenders Roszuk and Zaman.

Toward the end of the first half, QPR goalkeeper Harry Kang turned into Oliver Kahn stopping a Rye High forward, who had freed himself of QPRs defenders and was alone on goal.

In the second half, Rye High tried to increase the tempo but QPR's speedy forwards kept them too occupied, until QPR forwad Ryan Chippy, assisted by Dan Yanful put the game beyond reach with a goal that was as good as State Farm insurance.

"I'm very pleased with the attitude and aggressiveness out there today. We played like we wanted the win from the start and didn't let go until it was ours. This team has fantastic potential and is gaining momentum. We are now 4th, but this is not our habitat: we aim to win this league and will go from strength to strength to achieve our goal", QPR captain Fasano remarked after the game.

QPR vs. NAFC Origami: Match Recap

The undefeated streak of the Queen's Park Rangers came to an end under Friday Night Lights, falling to NAFC Origami by one goal to nil.

A burning defeat for the Sky Blue, against a weaker opponent who registered the only goal on their sole shot on net.

The game had gotten off to a good start with QPR  controlling game play and producing chances especially from Aziz and Fasano's set pieces.

However, experts say, soccer is made up of episodes. Odd chances that turn into goals is one example. Ejections are another. In fact, early in the 2nd half, QPR's Zaman was sent off courtesy of a second caution, leaving the Sky Blue in 10 men for the remainder of the match.

Despite being down a man, QPR pulled together and played at par until the episode that invariably marked the match - NAFC Origami's goal which came off a counter attack right through QPR's middle.

"I'm gutted about our loss tonight. We have a stronger side but were defeated. We have to want our victory and mean it next time", QPR captain Fasano said after the match.

Nothing Toulouse vs. QPR: Match Recap

Those who believe in numerology will note that 2 was the principle number in yesterday's match. QPR draws its second match of the season in as many outings - second draw in a row and second in history - with a 2-2 draw.

In the opening minutes Nothing Toulouse set the tone by playing a very physical match, often beyond the rule book, collecting 3 yellow cards in the process.

QPR opened the scoring with debuting Bovdis, who buried a ball that came across goal, spiking it down and passed the opposing goalkeeper.

Nothing Toulouse, however, kept their spirits up, and equalized on a counter attack, first and scoring on a penalty shortly afterwards.

At halftime, QPR regrouped and became more resolute, creating more scoring chances. In the last 5 minutes of the game, QPR mounted the pressure on Nothing Toulouse, scoring on a defensive mishap, with Yanful flicking the ball backwards on an odd angle to seal it at 2-2.

"We played a rough side who were lucky to finish at full strength. We have increased our scoring chances over last game, and we made some forward strides in our game play. The wins will come", Fasano said at full time.

After the match, the boys took part in "the third half", making merry at new sponsor W Burger Bar's Caledonia location (pic below).
